Design the Plate

We need a Tennessee designer to create the official Foodies of TN specialty plate.

What we're after

We already have a rough concept. Now we need a real final design that feels like Tennessee food culture and still reads clearly on the road.

The artwork has to follow Tennessee Department of Revenue plate rules, including layout constraints and legibility for the plate number.

Design priorities

  • Looks clear at 55 mph
  • Feels specific to Tennessee restaurants
  • Keeps the number area easy to read
  • Works inside standard TN specialty plate specs

This is a starting point. Final artwork comes from the selected designer.

Process

  1. Submit your application and portfolio
  2. Board reviews submissions
  3. Shortlisted designers meet with the team
  4. Selected designer develops final artwork
  5. Final design is submitted to the Tennessee Department of Revenue
Compensation is flexible. You can apply as paid work or as a donated project.

Who should apply

Nashville-area designers are preferred, but we welcome strong applicants from anywhere in Tennessee.
